This quarter’s Lunch and Lead will feature a TED Talk to get the discussion started. “TED Talks are short and powerful videos shown to really make you think. We want to use this time for discussing Cowley County in the same way: What’s happening? What needs to be happening? How can we as individuals contribute?”.
Christina McDonald, Chair, Leadership Cowley County (LCC) board, says, ‘This is a great opportunity to meet with others in our community and create a comfortable environment where we can continue our leadership training. It is our hope that Cowley residents will use this lunch hour to create dialogue and networks to help them make progress in their offices, homes and communities. Bring your lunch and join in.”
Leadership Cowley County is a program dedicated to training individuals from all walks of life in the principles of civic leadership. Each year students explore principles of leadership using nationally-recognized curriculum developed by the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC).
Leadership Cowley County is committed to building social capital to better address civic challenges through the following methods: developing leadership skills, enhancing awareness of community needs and assets, building relationships and networks of trust and providing opportunities for self-reflection and personal transformation.
